Día de los Niños Celebration
Our PTA’s biggest celebration of the year! An exciting celebration of community, culture, and fun in honor of Día de los Niños! This special event brings students, families, and the community together for an evening filled with games, food, music, and fundraising.
Enjoy food trucks, live festive dances, games, bounce houses, raffles, auction and a student parade; here’s something for everyone! All proceeds directly support our school programs and help fund enriching experiences for our students throughout the years.

Important Details
Parking
Please plan to arrive early! The parking lot will be reserved for vendors and volunteers with parking passes.
Street parking will be available, please do not block driveways or park in red zones.
Drop-off is available near the bottom of the staircase or at the driveway exit if needed. Back gates will be open for additional entry points.

Friday before the Kid’s Parade 4:30–5:00 PM at the front office
Also available after 5:20 PM at ticket booth in the back field.
Wristbands
Wristbands ($25) required for children participating in games, inflatables & face painting
A signed waiver is also required for inflatable participation.
Earn tickets at game booths to redeem for prizes
Raffle
$2 per ticket (sold at event)
Write name + phone and place in your chosen basket
Winners drawn at 7:30 PM (you’ll be texted if not present)
Food
No tickets needed
Come hungry! Food will be available for purchase directly from vendors (cash, Venmo, Zelle, card, etc.)
Food options may include snack bar items, hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, tacos, tamales, desserts, elote, fruit, ceviche, and more.
Auction
Opens Friday at 4:30 PM
Open for 1 week (through Friday, May 8)
Open to all, no need to attend the festival to participate
Don’t miss your chance to bid on fun experiences with teachers and staff, along with other exciting items. Some are flat-rate with limited spots, while others go to the highest bidder. Once they’re gone, they’re gone!

What to Expect
Traditional Kids Parade (promptly at 5:15 PM)
Kick off the evening with our festive student parade.
Children participating in the parade should be dropped off in the kindergarten play yard at 5:00 PM to line up by age.
Family Viewing
Families may watch from the lower grade recess yard. Parents will line up along the perimeter of the yard, starting by the fence, continuing toward the YMCA portables, along the back play structure, and finishing along the grass by the cafeteria to help create a clear path for students.
All children are welcome to participate in the parade, whether they attend Viejo or not.

Live Performances
Enjoy vibrant cultural entertainment including Chinelos dancers, Mariachi, and a Folklórico dance show.
After the parade, join us near the lunch tables for a special Folklórico performance before the festival continues on the upper grade playground.

Piñata & Salsa Contests
Show off your skills! Enter your homemade piñata or secret salsa recipe for a chance to win prizes and bragging rights.
DJ, Face Painting & More
Enjoy music from our live DJ on the blacktop, face painting, and keep an eye out for a special appearance by Chuy the Vaquero.
Games & Bounce Houses
Fun for all ages (wristband required)
Bounce houses in the TK lot are reserved for younger children only. Inflatables for older children will be located on the back grass area.
