Our Mission

At Viejo Elementary, our PTA’s mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by fostering collaboration, celebrating diversity, and strengthening family and community partnerships. We are committed to the educational success, health, and well-being of all children through advocacy, respect, and accountability.

As part of a national network, we hold firm to the values of collaboration, commitment, diversity, respect, and accountability, working in partnership with families, staff, and our broader community.

A strong PTA means:

  • Increased Parental Involvement: We help parents get involved in school activities and decisions, which research shows can improve academic performance, attendance, and student behavior.

  • Enhanced Communication: We act as a bridge between families and school staff, supporting transparency, collaboration, and community trust.

  • Volunteer and Program Support: Through events and hands-on involvement, we provide crucial support for educational programs, school spirit initiatives, and community outreach.

  • Fundraising for Impact: We raise funds that directly support field trips, classroom supplies, campus improvements, and enrichment programs not covered by the district.

  • Advocacy and Education: As a member of the California State and National PTA, we are part of a unified voice advocating for public education and child well-being at the local, state, and national levels.

Together, with our members, volunteers, and partners, we are building a welcoming and engaged school community, because when families and schools work together, children succeed.
