Living History Night

Wax Museum

The PTA is proud to support Living History Night!

A creative and educational event where students bring historical figures to life! Much like the science fair, students choose a person from history, create a display board, and present in costume as a “living wax figure.” It’s a fun and memorable way for students to dive into history, strengthen research skills, and build confidence in public speaking.

What Makes This Event Special?

Students not only learn about history, they live it! They become the figures they study, making this an unforgettable night for both participants and families.

To make this event a success, we’re looking for dedicated volunteers.

Here’s what we’re hoping to offer with your support:

Event Promotion: Help advertise the date before winter break so students can begin preparing over the holidays.

Coordination with Teachers: Teachers often provide a list of suggested historical figures based on grade-level curriculum. Ultimately it is the child’s choice who they’d like to present on.

Participant Organization: Set up a SignUpGenius or similar tool to manage student participants.

Night-of Logistics

  • Help set up student display areas

  • Serve food and drinks (typically pizza backstage for student participants only)

  • Clean up after the event

Whether you’re interested in planning, setup, food coordination, or just lending a hand during the event, we’d love your support.
