Kindness Fundraiser

Our biggest fundraiser of the year is here!
Join us as we spread kindness throughout our community while raising money to support our students and school programs

What is Raise Craze?
Raise Craze is an online fundraising platform where students request donations from family and friends via their own secure fundraising page. In return, they complete Acts of Kindness (AOKs) for others.
Instead of selling, students are serving, learning the importance of kindness, gratitude, and giving back.

Why We Chose Raise Craze?
We want to continue making Viejo Elementary an amazing place for our students and families. That takes community support! Raise Craze helps us:

Acts of Kindness (AOKs)
Help your child select 5–10 Acts of Kindness to complete. Don’t forget to log AOKs in the software, every student will be recognized, even without raising money!Supporters
Enter 5–10 email addresses for potential supporters. Raise Craze will send emails, reminders, and thank-you notes (addresses are never shared or used for marketing).
Rewards & Recognition
Students are recognized for:
Sending emails to supporters
Completing Acts of Kindness
Raising funds
Prizes include raffles, fun recess challenges, prize packs, class parties, and special privileges.
The “Nifty Fifty” Challenge
Help us earn the Nifty-Fifty U.S. Award by receiving at least one donation from all 50 states! Reach out to friends, family, and colleagues nationwide to get their state represented on our Kindness Map.

We’re bringing back the fun! Students will celebrate their Raise Craze efforts with a Fun Run!
Stretch Goal: If we reach $45,000, students may wear costumes to school on Halloween!

Weekly Home Challenge: Make Thank You Cards for Firefighters (drop off in front office).
Mon, Sept 22: Recess AOK → Cards for MV Sheriff’s Dept (delivered Sept 24).
Fri, Sept 26: Musical Lollipops (send 10 emails to participate).
Sat, Sept 27 (9 AM): Deliver firefighter cards and treats at local fire station.
Donation Drive (Sept 22–Oct 3): Bring printer paper for classrooms.
Week of Sept 29–Oct 3
Weekly Home Challenge: Paint kindness rocks and leave them in parks/trails.
Mon, Sept 29: National Coffee Day: Coffee table out front (donate your coffee $ to Raise Craze).
Tue, Sept 30: Chalk Walk during recess.
Fri, Oct 3: Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament (5 Acts of Kindness required).
Sat, Oct 4 (8–10 AM): Viejo Garden Clean-Up (with PCOM volunteers).
Donation Drive (Sept 22–Oct 3): Bring printer paper for classrooms.
Week of Oct 6–10
Weekly Home Challenge: Host a free lemonade stand and spread smiles (optional tip jar for fundraiser).
Wed, Oct 8: Recess AOK → Color bookmarks for Little Free Libraries.
Fri, Oct 10: Water Balloon Toss (10 Acts of Kindness required).
Sat, Oct 11 (9 AM): Love Our Schools Day: Paint states map on blacktop
Donation Drive (Oct 6–10): Blankets/towels for MV Animal Shelter.
Week of Oct 13–17
Weekly Home Challenge: Make encouraging signs for the MV Walk Against Drugs.
Mon, Oct 13: Recess AOK → Thank You notes for PCOM volunteers
Fri, Oct 17: Coin Flip Challenge (3 donations required).
Sat, Oct 18 (8 AM): MV Walk Against Drugs: bring signs and cheer!
Donation Drive (Oct 13–24): Bags of candy for Trunk or Treat.
Week of Oct 20–24
Weekly Home Challenge: Thank You notes for Viejo teachers and staff.
Tue, Oct 21: Recess AOK → Veterans Day Cards.
Fri, Oct 24: Thumb Wars (raise $100 to participate).
Sat, Oct 25 (10:30 AM): Beach Clean-Up and family lunch at the café.
Donation Drive (Oct 13–24): Bags of candy for Trunk or Treat.
